Terms and Conditions
Registration for a course may only be done through Petauro Systems for Petauro Systems sponsored courses either:
- Online at petaurosystems.com using a credit card; or
- By completing the registration form on the website and forwarding that, together with either complete tuition or a Government purchase order, to Petauro Systems at the address on the registration form or via fax to 970.232.3101.
Payment. For your protection, we do not accept credit cards by phone or fax. For tuition paid online, tuition is charged immediately using our credit card payment service, PayPal. You do NOT need to establish a PayPal account to pay tuition online through the PayPal system. A $100 administrative fee, in additional to normal tuition fees, will be applied where tuition was paid online by credit card and a request is later made to change that payment to the acceptance of a check.
Holding Seats. Petauro Systems does not hold, save or reserve seats in a class without a completed purchase order or paid tuition. Incomplete registrations cannot be accepted.
Full/Closed Classes. Classes which have reached maximum capacity are marked online as full or closed (or by words to that effect) on the course listing page. Once a class is marked full, no further registrations for that class will be accepted and a waiting list may or may not be developed depending on physical limitations of the class location. In those circumstances where a waiting list for potential class openings is developed, it will be cleared on a first-come-first-served bases for all complete registrations.
Refunds. Refunds are based on (a) whether or not a class is full, and then (b) the time between the request for refund and the class start date.
- Once a class is marked full or closed online, there will be no refunds on tuition paid.
- Requests for class withdrawal made less than 30 days before the class start date will result in a refund of 50% of the full tuition amount, unless the class is already marked full or closed online.
- Requests for class withdrawal made 30-45 days before the class start date will result in a refund of 75% of the full tuition amount, unless the class is already marked full or closed online.
- Requests for class withdrawal made more than 45 days before the class start date will result in a refund of the full tuition amount, less a $50 administrative fee, unless the class is already marked full or closed online.
In all cases, in lieu of a refund, the full tuition amount may be applied as a credit toward another class offering at another location or another date within 12 months of the original class start date for which the registration was submitted. No tuition credits may be used after 12 months from the original class start date.
Substituting. At times it may be necessary to substitute one individual for another after a registration had been made and confirmed. Within the limits of the refund policy, the ownership of a seat in a class falls to the individual or entity which submitted the registration and is transferrable. As such, within the limits of the refund policy, it may be transferred to another individual, without penalty, to the original class the registration was submitted for or an offering at another location or another date within 12 months of the start of the original class for which the registration was submitted.
Travel. While it is extremely unusual for us to cancel or move a class to another date (whether or not at the same location), there are times when that happens. If a class is cancelled or moved, we will send out emails to the email addresses of registered students to make them aware of the cancellation or change. We recommend students, especially those with air travel, wait until 30 days before the class start date to confirm the class has not been cancelled or moved. Any class cancellations or changes will be posted in the course listing page on our website. Students should plan travel to ensure time to finish class on the last day, allowing sufficient time to get to the airport.
Hotel Recommendations. Classes are offered at various locations around the world and, with few exceptions, no travel or hotel recommendations or suggestions are offered (specifically including hotel recommendations or suggestions). We avoid such recommendations to avoid being in conflict with public safety agency policies and so as not to counter individual travel loyalty programs. When specific recommendations are available, they will be indicated on the class listing online.
Attendance. We understand that circumstances arise and schedules change. Our classes tend to be fast moving and material intensive offerings. They tend to run a full 8 hours daily (normally from 8am to 5pm local time), including the last day of class. If a student must miss all or part of a day of class, and it isn’t possible to reschedule the appointment or the class for another offering, we will do what we can to keep the student on track. Students must be present for a minimum of 80% of the course hours.
